I'm curious to know what the 2.0 part is all about (surely the rev number is closer to 9.0 by now?), and the topic and crew will definitely be interesting. link

The whole "Web 2.0" thing has been beaten to death by the media. In a sense, I am looking at it in terms of punk rock. The foundations were laid by some of the technology and now people are out doing it for themselves (DIY), using the Internet to express themselves and creating content because 1) they want to and 2) the Internet while a powerful tool, also allows a forum for freedom of expression. In many ways, we are now seeing the promise that everyone was talking about back in 1990 (or 1991) on our NeXT boxes, but "Web 2.0" is a connotation that places limits or constraints upon a constantly evolving movement.
